Tips for the bride:

First...Congratulations! We know this is an exciting, busy time for you and we want to help make selecting that perfect pair of bridal shoes as easy as possible. Coloriffics shoes offer you quality, style and comfort and can be found at thousands of independent shoe stores, bridal shops and boutiques across the country. Click here for a listing of retailers.

Not only do Coloriffics shoes offer you quality and comfort but our vast selection assures you'll find a style that satisfies your individual needs. Gone are the days when brides wore only uncomfortable fabric pumps. Not only is it acceptable for a bride to wear open toe shoes, white wedding shoes, dyeable bridal shoes, something blue shoes or silver wedding shoes, but any style that you are comfortable in and complements your dress is fine. Most of our styles, including sandals, closed toe sandals and pumps, are made with flexible leather soles and "pillow soft" padding for enhanced comfort and exceptional fit.

Choosing a fabric: Most brides choose either satin, boca crepe or silk satin although we have seen a trend toward silver shoes. If you choose satin or crepe you may need to have your shoes toned down with a product called "Bridal White". Bridal whites vary from white to a light ivory, and are specially designed to coordinate with bridal dresses. Click here for more information on shoe dyeing kits.

Choosing a style: You should choose a style that complements your dress. However, your personal preference and what your comfortable wearing is very important. If you choose a high heel style and you are not used to walking in heels be sure to practice before the big day. Some brides that aren't accustumed to high heels, prefer to wear a high heel style during the ceremony and for pictures then switch to a flat style during the reception. If you decide to change to a lower heel during the reception make sure you discuss this when having your alterations done.

Customizing your shoes: Define your style with the perfect finishing touch. Customize Coloriffics footwear with one of our beautiful appliqués. With lace designs, detailed beading, rhinestones or pearls, you can make your own statement to complement any gown. Also, if you have any lace or beading left over after your alterations you may be able to make your own custom appliqués and apply them with fabric glue to your favorite Coloriffics shoes.

Bridesmaids Tips:

Tradition has been that all bridesmaids wear the exact same style. Although this is still popular it is not an absolute necessity. Bridesmaids are special friends that have been chosen to stand beside the bride as she starts a new exciting phase in her life. Therefore, they should have a look that helps complement the brides style, unites them as a group and helps separate them from the guests.

Choosing a fabric: The most popular look is still color coordinating footwear; whether they are dyeable or ready-to-wear colors. Gaining in popularity are silver bridesmaid shoes, strappy sandals, ivory satin shoes or gold sandals. When having shoes dyed to match it is important to choose a fabric similar to the dress material. Shoes should all be dyed by the same professional shoe dyer from the same batch of dye. Due to color perception it is very rare to have a "perfect match." However, you can expect a color that blends well.

Choosing a style: Choosing a style for bridesmaids can be difficult due to the possibility of differing heights and footwear preferences. If these differences make it unreasonable to settle on just one style try to choose styles that at least have a similar appearance in the front. Our most popular bridesmaids style addresses this issue by being available in 2 heel heights. The "Ashley" style is made in a 3" heel and its sister style "Kate" is the same style in a 1 3/4" heel. Other styles available in two heel heights are Sierra (high heel) Carmen (lower heel), Tori (higher heel) Andie (lower heel).
